Former Barcelona Star Issues Warning to Real Madrid Ahead of FIFA Club World Cup Clash. Ex-Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has fired a stern warning to Real Madrid ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup competition.
Vidal featured for his current club Flamengo as they defeated Athletico Paranaense 1-0, to win the 2022 Copa Libertadores for the third time in their history.
The Club World Cup pairs the champions of each confederation’s flagship competitions in a tournament to crown the world champions each year.
Flamengo are packed with talented players like former Atletico Madrid duo Diego and Filipe Luis, and Seleção stars Everton Ribeiro and Pedro.

Vidal, who also played for European and Italian giants Juventus, is notorious for his hostility for Real Madrid and during Flamengo’s celebrations, he sent out a strong warning.
“Real Madrid, we are going to kick your [expletive],” said Vidal via Madrid Universal.

Vidal joined Flamengo during the summer transfer window. The Chile legend made 96 competitive appearances for FC Barcelona during his two-year stint at Camp Nou.
The 35-year-old has found it tough against Real Madrid throughout his career, suffering eight defeats and winning just four in his 16 outings against the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder has also received two red cards against the reigning European champions.
Vidal in tears as he watches dad’s funeral
Dailysportvibes earlier reported that veteran midfielder Arturo Vidal watched proceedings from his dad’s funeral on Instagram live so he would not miss a Brazilian cup final.
Vidal, who joined Flamengo in July 2022 after leaving Inter Milan, lost his dad Erasmo Vidal, who was found dead in October at Chile’s oldest racecourse.
Erasmo passed away aged 61 after suffering cardiac arrest at the Club Hipico de Santiago.
